July 11, 2010 Mesa Fresh 2012 places second in Tri-State National Tournament - Mesa Fresh 2012 placed second in the Tri-State National Tournament held at the Mercer County Community College campus in New Jersey this past weekend. Facing their toughest competition of rising Junior teams from across the country, Mesa finished 2-2-1 in pool play and entered the playoff round as the number 5 seed out of their division. In the playoffs, Mesa opened the first round by beating Bulldog Lacrosse Club from CT by a score of 8-1 and then beat the #1 seed in the North division, Denver Colorado All-Stars, by a score of 5-4 in sudden death overtime to reach the Semi-Finals. In the Semi-Final game, Mesa topped Rock Lacrosse from Baltimore by a score of 7-0 with the opportunity to play once again against Laxachussets from Boston, Mass, a team that they had defeated in overtime by a score of 5-4 in pool play. In the National Final, after leading 3-2, Mesa fell behind by a score of 4-3 and despite a furious attack on net in the last minute, was unable to score. This is the second year in a row that Mesa has finished as the runner-up in the National Tournament. Mesa finished the tournament with a record of 5-3 -1 and now has a cumulative record of 45-8-1.
 
June 20, 2010: Mesa Fresh 2012 Places Second in Rutgers MVP Tournament - Mesa Fresh 2012 placed 2nd in the Varsity Division at the Rutgers MVP Tournament held at Rutgers University. Mesa finished pool play with a 5 - 0 record beating Scorpion (MI) 8 - 5, Team Rhode Island 6 - 3, Tri-State (NJ) 4 - 3, Next Level (MD) 10 - 3, and T2 Storm 7 - 1. Mesa beat Greater Cleveland (OH) 9 - 3 in the semi final game before falling in sudden death overtime to Laxworld 2012 (MD) by a 6 - 5 score in the Championship game. Mesa now stands 2 - 2 in games against rival Laxworld with the score differential in each game being one goal and with two of the games ending in sudden death overtime. Mesa finished the tournament with a 6 - 1 record and now has a cumulative record of 40 - 5. Mesa's team consists of the top rising juniors from the Main Line area of Philadelphia.
 
January 4, 2010: Mesa Fresh 2012 Places Third in Dick's Sporting Goods Tournament of Champions - Mesa Fresh 2012 placed third in the Rising Stars division at the Dick's Sporting Goods Tournament of Champions held in Tampa, FL from Jan 1 - Jan 3, 2010. The tournament featured teams from across the country that won Dick's qualifying tournaments over the summer of 2009. Mesa finished with a 5 -1 record losing in the semi-final to the Burning River Junior team from Cleveland, Ohio by a score of 9 - 7. Mesa bounced back in the consolation final to defeat Leading Edge, NJ team by a score of 6 - 5. Mesa's team consists of the top sophomore players from the Main Line area of Philadelphia.
 
July 2009 (www.palacrosse.com): The Mesa Fresh 2012 Lacrosse team wrapped up its inaugural summer tournament schedule this past weekend.  Mesa started the summer season at Lava Lax in Baltimore, MD winning the championship over AOD Richmond by a score of 8 - 0.  At the Tri-State National Lacrosse Tournament in Mercer County, NJ, Mesa finished as the runner-up in the Sophomore AA Division, losing to Tri-State Gold 5-4 on a last second goal in the championship finals.  Mesa finished off the summer by winning the championship of the 64-team Summer Sizzle tournament in Bel Air, MD, with a 3-1 win over Rock Lacrosse Lime to claim the title.  By winning the Lava Lax and the Summer Sizzle championships, Mesa earned a bid to the Dick's NDP Tournament of Champions and will play in Tampa, FL on Jan. 1-3, 2010.
